A live look at the bacteria around your teeth.

Phase contrast microscopy shows us the bacteria living around your teeth. Seeing the population directly tells us more about your periodontal health, and your risk, than measurements alone.

During your visit we collect a small sample of plaque from along your gumline and place it on a glass slide under our microscope. Our scope has no eyepieces, so the image goes straight to a monitor beside your chair. You see exactly what we see, magnified and moving, in real time.
